When should I service my gas fireplace?

Preventative maintenance and cleaning helps maintain fireplace efficiency and ensures overall visual appearance over its lifespan. 

If not cleaned regularly, mineral deposits can permanently  etch the glass and can build up on the fireplace burner or plug burner holes. In addition to mineral deposits, insects and dirt can also contribute to plugging burner holes or valves, and increasing the risk of fireplace sooting or delayed ignition.

We recommend annual or biennial maintenance depending on how often you use your fireplace. These regular check ups could prevent your fireplace from failing mid-season, when you rely on it most.  Please contact our service department to determine how long since your last appointment, and to schedule any upcoming maintenance.
